First off…..lets start with saying welcome ‘09. I hope everyone had a great last year. It is time we start fresh and take a shower. I started 2009 with a new studio. I have moved out of Pasadena and headed 15mins west to LA. Not that big of a difference, but a better view sure came out of it. From my north window ( yes i have multiple windows) i can see the Griffith Observatory and the Hollywood sign. I love it.
Besides that my tall bike tall boy koozies have been a hit this season. People love the tall boy. It has appeared in this issue of Giant Robot in their favorite thing section. I do not know if i am more amazed that it made it in or that there is a tall boy of what i think to be one of those jelly asian drinks in it. There is only a few left. If you have not got one you best to hurry. I was thinking once these are single digits or close to i would design a new one. I guess you can say these are some what limited. Perhaps a whole series will come out of these.
Another thing that makes me think this will be a good year is that my comic is now published. I use to just do these for fun. I kept it going to keep the mind moving… Honestly it was a memory exercise I thought of. If i could remember events that had happened within the week i was good. You can find my comic weekly in Pasadena Independent; a local free newspaper. I know for sure you can pick it up a Jones Coffee shop in Pasadena. All is great right now.
